As for your suggestion above, how do you know if you have AVerMedia 306 and what it does? Sorry if I sound IT-challenged. Perhaps they are tied into (1) and (2) above, I have no clue. On that last one I sadly have no idea what they even do. (3) 2 device drivers were not succesfully installed: PCI Simple Communications Controller & Base System Device The trackpad for the mouse works, none of the volume or channel buttons work. (2) I have a wireless keyboard with the media center controls on the right side. ![]() They still light up nicely blue when I wave my hand in front of them, but they control absolutely nothing anymore. (1) same issue with the nice touch screen volume / DVD controls on the lower right side panel. Most things work brilliantly, but I'm having 3 problems and since I'm no guru they may be inter-related or they may not: ![]() Hi, I also quite ambitiously installed Windows 7-64 bit as a clean install over the factory-installed Vista 32-bit on my XPS 24.
